The Engineering and Technical Services Department`s main function is to provide all Engineering and Technical Services to the customers of Mvurwi Town Council<\/h4>

The department is headed by a professional engineer.<\/h4>

Water and Sewer<\/h4>
  • Responsible for design, construction, operation and management of potable water infrastructure and services thereof.<\/li>
  • Responsible for design, construction, operation and management of wastewater (sewerage) infrastructure and services thereof.<\/li><\/ul>

    Planning<\/h4>
    • Ensuring orderly and coordinated urban development.<\/li>
    • Creating planning framework for the town development\/expansion\/growth.<\/li>
    • Land management and land banking.<\/li>
    • Preparation of long and short term plans.<\/li>
    • Preparation of layout plans for various land issues<\/li>
    • Preparation of site plans for various land uses for small schemes\/ individual stands.<\/li>
    • Development promotion, guidance and coordination<\/li><\/ul>

      Roads & Electrical<\/h4>
      • Responsible for design, construction, operation and management of roads, storm water drains.<\/li>
      • Responsible for design, construction, operations and management of electrical infrastructure and services thereof. This includes public lighting services.<\/li>
      • Peg identification\/Boundary relocation<\/li>
      • Non-title surveys i.e., surveys done to demarcate land parcels.<\/li>
      • Title surveys<\/li>
      • Tachometric surveys (done to come up with the relative positions of features on the ground)<\/li>
      • Leveling.<\/li>
      • Topographic surveys<\/li>
      • Setting out-: The section can position buildings relative to the property beacons.<\/li>
